Het jaarlijkse NAFPLIO FESTIVAL gaat elk jaar midden juni van start en belooft doorlopend veel muziek tot eind juni. Het bestaat reeds 20 jaar lang en wordt beschouwd als het beste festival in zijn soort door de vereniging van Muzikale Critici in Griekenland. Het Nafplio festival is ook een goede reden om de regio te bezoeken. Het festival en de artistieke directeur, de bekende pianist YIANNIS VAKARELIS, beschikt in zijn 20 jarig bestaan over een panorama van unieke muzikale optredens, opgevoerd in enkele van de belangrijkste locaties van de stad; VOULEFTIKON, het eerste Helleense parlement en het AGIOS YEORGIOS SQUARE (plein) , de binnenplaats van de St. Joris kerk.
