\n\t\t\t\tFor those who enjoy good food, there are many tavernas and restaurants, each serving local dishes in addition to the usual Greek food which could be complemented by a wide choice of Greek wines, Retsina and Ouzo.

The island of Romvi dominates the bay opposite Tolo.It is almost 1,6 sq. km in size. On Romvi island you can see fortifications, ruins of houses and reservoirs. At the back of the island there is a nice beach accessible only by boat.<\/p>\n

This is a small island in the bay which is also the symbol of Tolo. On the top of the hill is a small church dedicated to the Twelve Apostles. The island can be reached by pedalo or by hiring a local boat. \u00a0It is a popular wedding celebration venue during the summer for both Greeks and foreigners.<\/p>\n

Another small island in the bay situated behind Romvi island, it has a small pebbled beach. It is good place for a B.B.Q. and snorkeling.\u00a0 On the top there is a small Byzantine church built in approximately in 1688, dedicated to the Zoodochou Pigi. During the Turkish occupation the people lived in constant terror and \u00a0we are reminded of this by \u201cDaskaleio\u201d (teaching place) island and its \u201cKryfo Scholeio\u201d (SecretSchool) where children at that time were taught their national language and history which was forbidden by the Turkish occupiers.<\/p>\n

The ancient cities of Corinth, Mycenae, Delphi, Athens and the elegant resort town of Nafplio (the first capital of Greece) are all accessible by bus, car, taxi, scooter or organised coach outing.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″]
