[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Alt-Korinth geh\u00f6rt zu den sehenswertesten arch\u00e4ologischen St\u00e4tten des Peloponnes. Man gewinnt ein gutes Bild von der Gestaltung des Stadtzentrums in r\u00f6mischer Zeit. Auf dem kurzen Weg vom Eingang zumArch\u00e4ologischenMuseumsieht man links den durch ein Erdbeben geborstenen Felsklotz der Glauke-Quelle und dahinter die sieben noch stehenden S\u00e4ulen des Apollon-Tempels. Urspr\u00fcnglich war der 550 v. Chr. errichtete Tempel von 38 S\u00e4ulen umgeben. Sie sind aus einem St\u00fcck gearbeitet und beeindrucken durch ihre gelungenen Proportionen. Im krassen Gegensatz dazu stehen die gedrungenen S\u00e4ulen des r\u00f6mischen Octavia-Tempels gleich nebendemMuseum. Nach dem Museumsbesuch gelangt man \u00fcber eine Treppe hinunter auf den Marktplatz, die Agor\u00e1. Links f\u00e4llt ein hohes, gut erhaltenes Gew\u00f6lbe auf. Es war Teil einer Reihe von 15 L\u00e4den, vor denen eine S\u00e4ulenhalle verlief. Rechts voraus ist eine hohe, auf die Agor\u00e1 vorspringende Terrasse als Bema markiert. Das war eine Rednertrib\u00fcne, von der aus der Apostel Paulus im Jahr 51 gesprochen haben soll. Etwa30 ms\u00fcdlich der Bema begrenzte eine165 mlange S\u00e4ulenhalle den Marktplatz. Deutlich erkennbar sind 33 zweigeteilte R\u00e4ume. In den vorderen sind Brunnensch\u00e4chte zu sehen, die sie als Marktsch\u00e4nken ausweisen: In den Brunnen wurden Getr\u00e4nke gek\u00fchlt. Von der Agor\u00e1 aus f\u00fchren Stufen hinunter zur antiken Lechaion-Stra\u00dfe, die am Ausgang des Grabungsgel\u00e4ndes endet. Gleich rechts der Treppen befindet sich die gut erhaltene Anlage des im 2. Jh. neu gestalteten Peirene-Brunnens mit den Resten r\u00f6mischer Wandmalereien.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
