[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Delphi war ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr sein Orakel. Neben dem wichtigsten Orakel der antiken Welt befand sich hier eine gro\u00dfe Anlage zu Ehren des Gottes Apollon. Heute noch kann man Reste und Spuren der Heiligt\u00fcmer nahe dem Ort Delphi besichtigen. Die Ausgrabungen von Delphi geh\u00f6ren zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe.<\/p>\n

Der NameDelphideutet auf die Verehrung der G\u00f6ttin Gaia hin. Ab dem 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr. wurde zunehmend Apollon verehrt und es entwickelte sich das Orakel. Der Gott sprach nicht durch einen Priester sondern durch die\u00a0tiltongroup<\/a>\u00a0Pythia \u2013 ein Hinweis auf die Verehrung der Gaia. Die Pythia setzte sich auf einen Dreifu\u00df \u00fcber eine Erdspalte. Aus dieser Spalte stiegen D\u00e4mpfe auf welche die Pythia benebelten bzw. in Trance versetzten.<\/p>\n

Das Orakel sprach anfangs nur einmal im Jahr an Apollons Geburtstag. Sp\u00e4ter sprach das Orakel h\u00e4ufiger. Einige Weissagungen des Orakels wurden so ber\u00fchmt wie ihre Empf\u00e4nger und gingen in Sagen und Mythen ein. Die Geschichte bekannter antiker Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie \u00d6dipus, Herkules, Kr\u00f6sus und andere sind eng verkn\u00fcpft mit dem Orakel von Delphi.<\/p>\n

Sehr sch\u00f6n am Hang gelegen ist die Ausgrabungsst\u00e4tte von Delphi. Vom Tempel des Apollon (Sitz des Orakels) sind heute noch einige dorische S\u00e4ulen erhalten. Etwas hangaufw\u00e4rts gelegen das Theater, in dem zu antiken Zeiten ca. 5000 Zuschauer Platz fanden. Der musische Teil der pythischen Spiele fand in diesem Theater statt. Wichtige Funde und Asgrabungen k\u00f6nnen imarch\u00e4ologischenMuseumgleich neben dem Ausgrabungsgel\u00e4nde besichtigt werden.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
